As you know, Vertical l'Accessoire suspenders are made in France. The pretty straps are made in the region of St Etienne.

Today, we wanted to talk to you a bit about what it means and involves to sell made in France.

First of all, the choice of local manufacturing stems largely from purely rational reasoning. Indeed, we do not claim to be "the knights of Made in France" and want to produce local at all costs. The choice was more natural, despite the higher costs involved in this French manufacture.

From a technical point of view :

-Ease of exchanges with suppliers. What could be better than an interlocutor who speaks your language and shares the same culture?

- Manufacturing times. While manufacturing in Asia would take 5 to 6 months (between manufacturing time and transport), manufacturing in France generally takes 4 to 8 weeks. This flexibility allows us to better meet market expectations, which is very important!

- No border issues and no customs tax. To make French products more competitive, customs have set taxes of up to 20% of the total cost of goods imported into France.

From a more “marketing” point of view

 - Braces are an accessory often associated with French culture, so we felt it would be a nice “plus” if the accessory was produced locally.

-Made in France has become a real added value for a product. Faced with the growing influx of Asian products within the territory, the French are more and more sensitive to the origin of the products they buy.

So even if this little mention “made in France” on the labels of your Vertical l’Accessoire suspenders is expensive, the latter is well worth it;)
