July 14 was yesterday... Fireworks, parades and popular dances, a look back at an eventful day. Made in France, tricolor patriotism and my “French” suspenders in the spotlight more than ever of course;).
But where does July 14 come from? Storming of the Bastille you say! Well yes, it was in 1789 (shortly before the invention of suspenders by the way), July 14 is marked by this revolutionary day which will mark the end of privileges and equality for all at birth. More than just a celebration of the end of privileges, July 14 has become an opportunity to celebrate historical events or to honor France's allies.
A Parisian for a few months, despite everything, I do not miss an opportunity to leave this city as soon as the opportunity arises, so it is in the direction of Brittany that I leave accompanied by two friends. Fans of wide open spaces and the sea, we put our suitcases in Carnac.
Arrived around 1 p.m., we have time to continue with a few windsurfing and kitesurfing edges, it is good to get into the sea! In the evening, we find other friends, they have boats, so we treat ourselves to the VIP boxes for the Carnac fireworks display!
Throughout the evening, our mid-wide Les Française straps met with a certain success with the locals present! The weekend is not over and this Parisian break promises to be most rejuvenating! Today, it's heading to the islands of Morbihan!!
