"The Trendy Boys". This is how David and Olivier, the founders of "Le Pasha de St Barth", call themselves.
What they want ? Bring a touch of novelty to a store with a different masculine spirit. "Two years after arriving in Saint-Barth, I already had in mind the shop as it is," says David. The made in France is de rigueur. It is also an important part of the identity of the shop. The idea is to offer exclusive things that Americans don't necessarily know and that you can't find elsewhere for locals.
It is also a shop that looks like them because the brands that we can find there are only brands that have touched David and Olivier who work at the heart: "We meet at least once each designer with whom we work"
The shop celebrates its 2nd anniversary this year and has become much more than a professional activity. It has become their means of expression.
• But why did you choose the island of St Barthélémy?
It is in Saint Barth that we mainly find young brands made in France. Major brands such as Le Slip Français, Le baigneur, or even Briston watches are included.
In addition, the story of the men now almost 40 years old, testifies to their ambitions and their dreams of 20 years. For Olivier, the restaurant page has definitely turned to devote himself to his concept store with David in Gustavia: "It was obvious. Not at home but almost" confide David and Olivier.
• How does the image of the "Vertical l'Accessoire" brand fit into the convictions and values that the store represents?
Vertical l’Accessoire is a young brand of unisex suspenders ( suspenders for men, suspenders for women and soon suspenders for children) entirely made in France. In addition, suspenders are a French fashion concept and accessory that is not always found on the other side of the Atlantic. They bring the possibility of bringing a classy touch to a casual outfit. In addition, it fits perfectly into the shop's favorite criteria: surprising and exclusive for Americans and locals, and above all made in France.
